Aliante + your butt - you moving around a lot = Happiness. If you’re the type who likes to settle in to a comfortable position and tick away the miles, the Aliante is a good choice. If you like to slide around when you climb or really hammer, take a look at fi'zi:k’s Arione instead. The Aliante has a nice little dip in the middle that cradles you perfectly when you’re in it, but it’s not terribly comfortable if you like to slide to the nose or tail of the seat a lot. If you’ve got your fit dialed in and tend to not move fore and aft on the seat a lot, this seat is comfortable for hours and hours. The shell is a carbon reinforced nylon, and it uses fi'zi:k’s Twin flex, so it’s got a little bit of give to provide some cush where it needs to.
