Description

The 2010 Fulcrum Racing Zero wheelset takes last year’s performance level and expands on it. By far the largest upgrade on the 2010 Fulcrum Racing Zero wheels is the addition of USB ceramic bearings. By adding the new bearings, Fulcrum takes a hub the already rolled forever and makes it roll even longer and smoother. How is it longer than forever? I don’t know, but they’ve figured it out. Fulcrum dresses up the outside of the hubs as well, giving them carbon fiber shells and aluminum flanges. Tying the hub to the rim are aerodynamic aluminum spokes and aluminum nipples, which keep weight down and give you a little help cutting through a headwind. Further aerodynamic help comes from the different front (26mm) and rear (30mm) rim heights - heights which are optimized to handle the different stresses put on each wheel. As usual, Fulcrum machines the area between the spokes to save weight. The 2010 Fulcrum Racing Zero wheelset uses a radial front lacing and Fulcrum’s 2:1 lacing pattern on the rear, giving you two drive side spokes for every non-drive spoke, keeping the wheels stiff and efficient without adding extra weight.
