Zipp 303 Wheelset

The Zipp 303 wheelset is available in a variety of configurations designed to suit any rider. Using a 45 millimeter all-carbon rim on tubular versions and a 44 millimeter aluminum rim with carbon airfoil on the clinchers, the Zipp 303 is tall enough to make a serious difference in a headwind, yet still short enough to provide stability in crosswinds. For cyclocross racers, the Zipp 303 Cyclocross has a 27.5 millimeter wide tire bed, plenty wide to glue up a set of 32c tires. The ‘cross configuration also gets more spokes - 24 up front and 24 in back. You’ll find Zipp’s toroidal shape and dimpled surface, features intended to smooth out the air flowing over the rim, on all versions of the 303 wheel. All three versions of the Zipp 303 wheelset use Zipp’s 88 front hub and 188 rear hub, giving the wheels strength, reliability, and a nice smooth roll. Tying the hubs to the rims are Sapim CX-Ray spokes, known to be some of the best out there. With all the cool features and unique options available, the question with the Zipp 303 wheelset isn’t whether you should get it, but which configuration you should get.
