Description

Whether you want to hook up your tri bike or blast off the front of the peloton, the Zipp 808 wheelset might be just what you need. At 81 millimeters deep, the 808 isn’t a wheel you’d want to run on your casual group ride or up any serious climbs, but for flat-out speed with a reasonable amount of maneuverability and a decent weight, it’s hard to beat. Common with the triathlon set and gaining popularity with road sprinters who can crank out the serious speed, the Zipp 808 tubular wheelset uses an all-carbon, toroidal shaped rim. The clincher version of the 808 uses the same toroidal airfoil, but mates it up to an aluminum rim. Zipp uses their 88 and 188 hubs on the 808 wheelset, providing unparalleled strength and smooth rolling. The spokes on the Zipp 808 wheelset are Sapim’s CX-Ray, a conventional J-bend spoke with unconventional strength and consistency. Please note that we do not stock the track or MAX versions of the Zipp 808 wheelset, but we can order them for you upon request.
